If you've gotten a credit card in someone else's name, you might want to avoid using it to buy things that involve you being photographed. Like a nose job

It would be awesome if someone got a credit card in my name. And it would suck to be them.

been there...

The credit card company sent my renewal card at my old address. The people there believed is to be ok to use it, including dental work, aka getting a bridge done.

The dentist office wasn't left a number so looked me up via the credit card info and called at work to let me know that "my" bridge was ready and to set up an appointment.

So called the credit card company which were idiots, and the cops.

The only thing I know is that the cops, knew these people from other "events" and went to find them but I never heard anything back afterwards.

I do know that they had tried several other purchases (big items) and the card rejected (low balance left on it at the time). Since then the credit card companies appear to have improved their services quite a lot as every time I make a large enough purchase, or something that's out of the ordinary, I get a call to confirm that I really did the purchase.

Last spring, my number was stolen from something probably online and they called me about confirming if I had been making reservation to hotels all over the world.

With HIPA this would have been a fun one in the court room if they didn't get a warrant. Or perhaps get a shark of a lawyer to go after the practice for turning over medical records, make a federal case out of it.

And the fact it took four years to work out is double bullshiat.

He could have faced charges of tampering with evidence, too.

Years ago at this office I worked at one of the people in the mailroom took an incoming crdeit card from the mail and went on a spree. She might not have gotten caught but she decided to pay her phone bill and a few other bills that were in her name with it.
