You know, this is the first I've heard of these "remote control abortions", and I must say, Finding out what they actually were was very disappointing. |

What a coincidence - the Iowa chapter of Planned Parenthood is a 72 Whooping Cough Lane. |

| CapeFearCadaver Troy Newman, president of Operation Rescue, said the decreased number of abortions is the result of efforts by organizations like his national anti-abortion group to curb the procedure's use. No. |
||
| Theaetetus The study also found a slight decrease in the number of abortions performed during the second trimester of pregnancy, when risks of complication are higher, said Grossman, also a clinical professor in the obstetrics department at the University of California in San Francisco. He noted the decrease was small enough to require further study. "In the reduction of second-trimester abortions, it will be important to see how that continues to play out," he said. "We know that earlier abortions are safer than later abortions." Foreseeable - with women not needing to find time to travel across the state, they can get the procedure done sooner, with fewer complications. Newman also argued that the pills a woman takes for the procedure are dangerous and have resulted in at least 11 deaths, often because of infection. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration, however, has said there is no evidence that either of the pills, Mifeprex and Misoprostol, has caused fatal infections. Weak journalism. When one side presents factually incorrect statements, you call them on it - you don't simply provide a statement from the other side. This isn't point-counterpoint. |

For a moment there I thought were going to be talking about something like this ![]() Using the machine to allow for the surgeon to perform an operation that might be legal in the state he's sitting in but illegal in the state the machine is in. That'll be a fun day in court. |

Someone should set up remote surgery clinics in under-served states to do remote abortions. Then the doctors don't have to live in fear of being assassinated in the shatty bible thumping states they are serving. |

| KrispyKritter poor Colin Quinn. had a comedy circle jerk show called Tough Crowd. almost every episode had a big fat brother named Patrice that would pretend to be a comedian. I'm guessing he was the producers dealer. Or he was nearby alley homeless and conveniently filled in for whoever canceled last minute. Pretty much ruined the whole show by himself. Fat boy Patrice never said one damn funny thing the whole time that show was on the air. felt bad for Colin that someone stuck him with a no-talent like that. it wasn't your fault, Colin. it wasn't your fault. last time i saw No Talent Patrice he was crying like a biatch on a Roast. lots of people that ignore their doctors repeated advice get diabetes, you jackass. |

Yeah, being a comic that was universally spoken of by other comics as their favorite comic. Patrice definitely was a no talent sort of guy. |

That's right - we're supposed to be the pinnacle of civilization, but our doctors have to use telepresence to perform medical procedures because religious kooks are terrified they will run out of religious kooks if that medical procedure continues, and so religious kooks have been intimidating, stalking, assaulting, and killing doctors. Sure, this also allows for monitoring of a patient at a distance in case the abortifacent doesn't work as intended, and there is a teensy, tiny risk involved because there's no doctor within emergency service range, but that's not what this article is about. This is about ensuring that doctors can keep doing business without having to be exposed to religious kooks. Heck, this may make it nearly impossible for religious kooks to harass the patient, too, as it would be very difficult to identify folks using this procedure. |
