I don't know what just transpired, but I do know that I went to a party (not for my birthday) got 3 free drinks, someone else's birthday (not what the party was for) is tomorrow and her boyfriend brought a cake, but when he lit the candles she bolted, so I stood up, told 15 friends and 25 acquaintances it was my birthday (which it is) and they sang to me, awkwardly, after which I blew out the candles on a cake with someone else's name on it. And the lady who stormed out? She was thrilled she didn't have to be the center of attention! Wins all around!
