Funny I've never asked for directions AND I've never been robbed. Coincidence? I think not. |

Almost the same thing happened to my mother in law last week. She stopped two teens to ask for directions and they grabbed her iPhone and ran off with it. Since this is Canada there wasn't a gun involved, thankfully. And you may be asking why she had to ask for directions when she had an iPhone with her, to which I can only say she is the least tech savvy person I have met in my life, she has no business having an iPhone, and it was likely a blessing in disguise that it was removed from her possession. Seriously, my 3 year old son can work an iPhone more competently than my MIL. And she even bought herself an "iPhone for Dummies" book to learn how to use it. Just utterly hopeless. |

That's odd, it's usually the other way around... a young successful urbanite will come up, ask for directions and if you stop for a second, will immediately request that you give charitably to him. |
