I was gonna cut you, subby, but I see that "taxidermied" is actually in TFA.

I weep for journalism.

They could have said stuffed or mounted, I suppose. I'm just relieved there was no evidence of rogue taxidermy.

When confronted by authorities, Austin, Loving and Young said they were "scrapping" - traveling around looking for items to "collect and turn in for scrap value," according to the report.

Yeah, everyone else on the planet calls this "theft". Quit making up shiat to justify your crime. Hell, we've forgotten to lock the outside door on our garage before, even forgotten to lock the front door once or twice, do these asshats consider that to mean that they could come "scrapping" in my house?

I DID like that they were apparently in a "multicolored station wagon"...

I wonder if it will turn out that one of them either works for the restaurant or contractor doing the renovation(Or has a close acquaintance who does), and "arranged" for the storage unit to be unlocked?

Wait...wait....I know this one!

You take the fox to the car first, then you go back and take the coyote, but when you drop it off, you take the fox back in with you, then you take the bear, and then the fox again.

"It was also conveyed (by the suspects) that if items at this business were not located in a storage container, dumpster or locked location that they too were just 'understood' to be free for the taking," the report states.

I guess the "suspects" now "understand" that stealing is a "crime."

FTA: "and probation violations. Loving and Lorenzo were also charged with possession of burglar's tools." I'm guessing they knew it was stealing.

There is a restaurant just outside of town that has taxidermy animals every where you look. The food is excellent but it leaves you with the feeling that you are eating at the Bates Motel dining room and Mother is in the kitchen.

The beaver chili is always first to go at the bi-state lesbian chili cook-off.

Where I used to live, we used to have a lot of wildfires. And when the wildfires were over, tourists used to drive up and go through the ruins and steal whatever was left.

We have a bar here that could double as a museum of natural science with all the stuffed critters in it.
Even a Fischer cat and bob cat.

That being said, stealing pelts is a no no.
Might get your hand caught in a beaver trap.
In your own bed.

Sounds like Denver's Buckhorn Exchange, which has been in business since 1893 and holds Colorado Liquor License #1. The oak bar was made in 1875, in Germany.

"Its walls hold a rare 575-piece collection of taxidermy, including deer and moose, giant buffalo, mountain goat and big horn sheep; dozens of indigenous fowl; even a two-headed calf and a legendary jackalope." Link

Good grub. They even have yak. Highly recommended!
