You guys both seriously need to go to Burning Man. This stereotype does not even come close to living up to reality. I walked around for a few minutes myself. The best way I could describe the feeling is like there's one less thing that you can't do. You feel freaked out at first, and that lasts for all of a minute, and then you feel weirdly empowered, and possibly a bit titillated if you have an exhibitionist tendencies.

Public displays with a capital P means that it's government-sanctioned. I have no problem with a cross or whatever as long as they don't deny Muslims the same. Personally, I would prefer zero Public use for religion whatsoever, but that's not a battle we are going to win, so I'll pass. It's all are allowed or none are allowed. Plain and simple. If someone is displaying something on their own property, I don't care what it is as long as it adheres to basic standards of decency and non-inflammatoryness.

I've seen a lot of people at Pride parades dressed as construction workers, cops, lawyers, doctors. It is just the liberal media that only shows and talks to the more flamboyant ones.

I am naked right now so I am getting a kick out of these replies.
