My money's on a new one south of South Sister, Hood, or Glacier Peak. I don't discount Rainier, but I think it would be more of a flank collapse/lahar episode rather than one with ash and lava. That mountain is so eaten away by acid I'm surprised it's still standing.

We have entire cities built on active geothermal zones, we're not going to not send kids on a day trip to a massive beautiful national park because a volcano "might" get a bit grouchy. No one was in any danger of being swallowed up in a pyroclastic flow.

While Mt. Hood is home (grew up in the villages near the mountain i.e. Welches), it would be a sad but freaking awesome site to see Mt. Hood blow. I love that mountain, and I think out of all the major peaks in the Cascades it has to be one of the more beautiful ones of them all.
