Very nice. 100% great parenting (although who knows what else if going on - step-dad looks a tad douchey, although it is Florida). My kids (17, 14 and almost 9) understand that they won't get beaten or even severely grounded, but my wife and I will take great pleasure in embarrassing them if we need to. Hell, we do it naturally - just imagine when we're trying. I explained to my now 17 year old years ago that I have no problem picking him up at school shirtless (and that's not the good kind of shirtless) if I need to. Hell, I'll wear a dress to the kids' school if need be.

Only problem is they become really desensitized to embarrassment after a few rough episodes. Which should serve them well later in life, but might take the wind outta my sails before I've finished my job moving them from the self-centered savages path to the road to being a reasonable, decent human being.

Just remember one thing kid, some people pay a lot of money for public humiliation and you get it for free.

He's being active in his daughter's life, in her raising, and works for a living so he's a better citizen and role model than a lot of other people. He's chosen a method that does her little harm, isn't abusive, and even Judges have been using again through out America and other countries.

Lesson 1: You might be able to make the kid GO to therapy, it's quite another to make them participate or learn from the therapist
Lesson 2: Why spend good money on a therapist when the threat of massive humiliation is free?
