Arizona has a HAM hunting permit for collared peccary (javelina - North American "pigs").

Makes sense to me. Those 'bang stick' things are an AOW (Any Other Weapon), require a $200 tax at the time of manufacture, and a $5 tax whenever you transfer them, and transferring them involves a Class 3 dealer, ATF crawling up your butt, etc. Same thing we require for machine guns.

Handguns are a hell of a lot cheaper.
