A few months back I was standing out on the back deck....it is around 9 or 10pm at night. No clouds and the sky is full of stars. I am looking up - trying to spot constellations - when I see this large dark V shape object fly overhead - silent, blocking out stars as it goes by. My heart races. I am tempted to run in and tell my wife to come out and witness this when I hear a faint sound: ronk. I strain to hear better as I watch the object float over: Ronk. Ronk. And then I see it.... it is a gaggle of geese flying at night in near perfect V formation. Boy - was I glad I didn't go running in the house to get my wife.

Goddamnit - I'm finally getting over the flu and didn't need that unexpected coughing fit...

I just finished his autobiography and he seemed like a pretty straight shooter, so I'm thinking this is just a headline grabber for him, either to promote the Mondays tour or he has a UFO special coming out. Or the drug abuse has taken hold and he's bonkers. Either way, meh.

I have a "Madchester" playlist (Mondays, Stone Roses, Inspiral Carpets, Charlatans) locked and loaded at all times on my ipod. Some of the best music ever produced, IMHO.
