| No, China, you can't claim our countries as your territory, not even if you print it on your passports |

| ZAZ You know the tax protestor advice that you should sign all documents "without recourse UCC 2-106" (or something similar)? Countries could start doing that with Chinese passports. Visa stamp with a corrected map and a wall of text saying that admitting this Chinese person does not imply any concession as to the accuracy of any maps, territorial claims, or other verbiage or mapiage heretofore set forth in the document to which this stamp [continued on next page] |

Don't mess with 'Nam. China tried to invade once, not long after the US pulled out. The war didn't go well for the Chinese. |

Then don't recognize those passports as valid, but admit those with the unrevised version. Or make a stamp that conveniently revises those maps. |

Ahh, the passive aggressive 'I'm just going to hold on to this for a while since no one seems to be using it at the time. You can have it back whenever you want, just come and ask. I'll probably let some people from my country settle there though, but you can totally just ask them to leave and they'll be cool." |

China is bizarre. One minute, they'll do something progressive and unexpected, the next they're pulling nonsense like this. It's like half the government wants to be Japan and the other half wants to be Best Korea. |

Joce678: it didn't go particularly well for the US, either. Or the French. Or the Japanese. Or the Khmer Rouge. Mess with the Vietnamese, and you're going to have a bad time. |

How long will it be until China is revealed to be the greatest Ponzi scheme in history? Take in more land and people and up your GDP even if it isn't your land and people. /what's the Chinese term for "snake oil'? |

Anyone ever use a network monitoring/management suite called HP OpenView? Very popular in enterprise networks. Anyway, the splash screen/window that pops up (or did, years ago) when you started the administrative client had as its background a map of the world, with each country colored in solid colors, like an old RISK map. HP had to release a special version for China that showed Taiwan in the same color as the mainland, or else the PRC would ban sales of the software in China. So yeah, go fark yourself, PRC. |
