Todays' links and threads are trip down memory lane. When I roomed with seven other people, only three of the eight of us were allowed inside the local grocery store. The other five had been banned for stealing. The last two to be banned had gone in to steal food one guy grabbed a muffin and stuffed the entire muffin in his mouth at once while they were still inside the store. You can't claim you "forgot" to pay for an entire muffin you've stuffed in your mouth.

So, store security took them to a back room to get yelled at by a manager. They searched them and both had food in their pockets, down their pants, under their hats: all of which they absolutely intended to pay for, of course. Furthermore, they were outraged by these outrageous accusations.

The manager stated that Guy 1 had stolen and eaten a muffin. Guy 2 cranked up the stirring rhetoric, professed to be outraged anew, and stated "I know this man. This man does not steal. How dare you question his honesty?"

So, they showed these two goofballs video of Guy 1 stretching his mouth to the side with one hand while cramming the muffin into his mouth with the other hand. Guy 2 turned to him and shouted "I'm appalled! I thought I knew you." Then he turned to the manager and said "Throw the book at him."

They were both banned from the store. For the life of me, I can't figure out why they weren't arrested. For those of you who are tracking a certain other thread, many of the young women who hung out at our place insisted Guy 2 was great in bed. I often responded with "Yeah, next time you come over, could you bring him more food so he doesn't get busted stealing again?"
