I'm slightly autistic (or perhaps dumb) so when I was a kid in the early 80s, I thought that song was about a house literally in the middle of the street. Not in the middle of the block. In my mind I pictured something very like that photo.

I also thought to 'TP a house' meant 'Tee Pee' as in having something to do with a conical shape. Not toilet paper.

Were the homeowner to not move for, say, a week - well, beyond being dead, his skin would also be rather charred/sunburnt, and substantially oxidized (ie - rusted). The bulldozer, on the other hand, would not have any measurable changes during that week.
