Just rescued a 1-yo Great Dane puppy last week. Guy bought a purebred Great Dane from a breeder, papers and all, and...just threw it in the back yard and virtually ignored it. Left her some food and water every once in a while before he left for work but that was all the interaction he ever had with her. Poor thing spent her entire life completely alone and near starvation. And for what? Why do that to an animal? Why take 6-week-old kittens and let them suffocate and/or freeze to death? God, some people are assholes.

So I assume that the beer was in the freezer to quickly cool it. So did he just forget he had dying cats in there or did he just assume a human with an actual heart wouldn't care?

dry ice is a better choice. it'll cool fast, and keep from soaking the cat.
