Oddly both stopped thier respective family creation after two kids each.

Considering the size of the silver spoon in his mouth that he grew up with, I really consider that the least he could possibly do to give back. Not to mention that the monarchy brings in a lot of tourist money, and the lands that would otherwise belong to Elizabeth Windsor, private citizen, are fairly profitable attractions in themselves. They generate a lot more money for the British government than the cost, why wouldn't they keep them around?
