Of all the Caturday submissions today, this is my favorite.

By the way, never dump a housecat off at a farm thinking they'll have plenty to eat and a warm place to sleep. Any place that can support a feral cat population already has one, and newcomers will be chased off or even killed by the resident ferals.

I like this one also.. so does feral Fred. These people are great..glad they are there...

This is a good story...I like the idea of finding outside homes for kittehs also.

The Humane Society here has a program like this (I think its $20/cat or maybe $20 for a group, I'm not sure). The cats have been fixed, ear tipped, and given their distemper and rabies vaccines. Our rescue has also done something like this, relocate ferals and colonies.

Although she USED to be feral, Lily is definately an INSIDE itteh now. And she LIKES IT!!!! :D

Don't dump a housecat off anywhere. Barncats and ferals are wild animals, housecats are not. Even the housecat you let outside to play for a few hours isn't completely capable of taking care of themselves.
Then yeah, there is the whole territoriality subject, especially among males. Barn cats are rarely altered, and an unaltered, wild male cat is deadly. We even have issues with Jeff and Dumdum, who are fixed. We have to turn down unaltered adult males because they will fight. That's another part of why we need to get out of the house and get a bigger place. Mac is the third in line, but he is extremely submissive.

We where trying to figure out between the two, who are brothers, the alpha male really is. I think this picture, when Dumdum was harassing and playing rough with a sick kitten, really settles that argument.
Jeff wasn't going to have any more of that shiat.

I have a cell phone, but it's an inexpensive prepaid. 

Yay! Caturday! What a week! Rough at work for both of us. Then the shower surround finally bit the dust..but it leaked into the kitchen, damaging the wood trim Mr.Rose had so painstakingly put up. The same day he got a flat tire, and had to have all new tires...and finally, my Father in law, who is in assisted living is not doing well at all. He has a bad heart valve. He is 87.

The good thing is that Eli has not chomped me in the morning this week..he is about the only thing that is not snappish this week!

Yay outside kitties! I keep saying when we get a house I am going to line the yard with outside cat houses and make sure all the outside kitties get warms and foods.

Handsome fella! Likes to sit at the window and stare inside, too. Makes my cats go NUTS! But he's sweet. Always waiting for me after work with his squeaky maow, knowing as soon as I get inside I'll be out on the porch with some gooshies!

.....also a possum has found this out too and gets the leftover kitty food around 11pm. Wildlife!

So sorry for your "sucky week"! Mine wasn't great either, but it's getting better now! AND...I think I ordered a new car! (OHMYGAWDI'MFREAKINGOUT) never had a new car in my life! :D

Until our property management forbid feeding the feral cats (upon pain of eviction), I used to put out food for them everyday, but I learned quickly to bring in any uneaten dry kibble after it started getting dark.  If I didn't our tiny fenced in patio would be invaded by raccoons. 

Yay! It's Caturday! What a nice story, and what a great rescue group.

Hi Sherpa! How YOU doin' this week? How's the knee?

Crazy, weird week. The guy is on his last round in the truck!!! Then we plan to buy a pickup (we need a 2nd vehicle & he can use it for the business we plan to start). He'll drive said truck back home and then the real work begins - starting our own business! Then we can get the kid! I can't wait to get him out of the truck & have him home all the time!!! **Squeeee**

My "rebooting" is coming home, putting on my slippers, and cracking open a beer...or several. :D

We're looking at furniture repair, maybe with some refurbishing & building. He worked in furniture for 8 or 9 years before we ended up doing the trucking thing, so it's something he knows how to do & enjoys. I'm also working on starting up a non-profit designed to help others dealing with chronic pain. Lots of stuffs going on! He's REALLY nervous, but we have to get going on this. We can't go after the kid until he's off the road, & she's beyond ready for us to go get her. Lars is ready to have his girl home :)

Caturday is Here !! Update on last week's situation.. Animal control folks can't pursue 'owners' due to no witnesses.. Property owner has served them with a notice that they are not allowed to have pets. CPS and Social Services are involved.. hope that they can help the kid...
Fred had more issues with urinary blockage.. getting meds in his food.. my vet knew better than to ask me to pill Fred... first hand experience... he seems to be responding well, and likes his first forever home.. peeked at the camera last night, he was sacked out with his paws tucked under.. Cali, the pastel calico rescue, is still in the TV room.. loves the little red dot, has toys all over.. I have several of those circular scratchers with the track with ball around it.. she and Dinky seem to love hitting that thing at 3am.. I think Dinky starts it, then you hear the one in the TV room start up.. secret communications?.. I have learned to ignore it and go back to sleep...
I hope that everyone will have a good weekend and no sads..
