Gas prices fall every winter. Thankfully.

Also thankful that my electric bill was only $80 this month. It used to be more than twice that at this time of year.

Then I bought a Trane.

I bought gas for $3.09, 24 hours ago, then saw it was $2.99 last night.

That's great and all but if all you dimwits would have voted for Newt, we'd be enjoying $2 a gallon plus planning our summer trip to the moon....but noooo, had to vote for this guy.

Came here to say this. God and lower taxes make gas prices go down

In other news, unemployment is back above 8% after miraculously falling the two months prior to the election. And the demographic groups who voted for the winner all have double digit unemployment rates while old angry white guys are below 7%. Go figure.

Why does Obama hate the environment so much? If he really believed his tree-hugging, liberal ideals, gas would be $20 a gallon. For him, it's all talk and no action and logical dissonance for art's sake.

And yet, the GOP got their nuts smashed in a thorough political curbstomping.

It's like....they don't blame him for the GOP's economic terrorism...

Go figure.

"How do you explain that in the Sunday New York Times there were 45 1/2 pages of help-wanted ads and in the Washington Post Sunday there were 331/2 pages of help-wanted ads and these were jobs calling for people of every range that you could make. How does a person in any of these skills justify calling themselves unemployed when there's a fellow spending money ans saying, "I've got a job. Come fill my job?'"

But somehow THIS time it's different amirite?

1. Raise gas prices by several dollars.
2. Lower gas prices by a few cents.
3. Everyone goes crazy over how cheap gas is.
4. Profit.

Oil companies really saw us coming. They thought we would be stupid enough to applaud $3.30 gas, and they were right.

No story here .Gas prices go down when the holidays are near . Then are raised again after the holidays so it doesnt look like price gouging .

/yeah, I know ,I say the same old thing every time theres a gas price thread here .

Asians voted 3:1 for President Obama and their unemployment is under 5%.
In 2008 the Educated voted 60/40 for Obama - their Unemployment rate is largely under the national average.

The uneducated, those with no post-HS degree, are where we have intense unemployment problems. guess what direction that group breaks for? Including minorities.

Nationwide gas price average when obama took office was $1.84 a gallon, now it's $3.09. Give credit WHEN credit is due, when he gets it down in the $1.83 range.
The obamorons will go back to saying presidents have no control over gas prices when the price goes up or they'll just remain silent. Because the child king can do no wrong EVER! Anybody that identifies a problem or weakness with the narcissist obama is a racist and not a good democrat.
Keep your head in the sand and spin it demtards! Do what your told and say what they tell you to say, ALWAYS!

Statistics sure are fun. With just a little effort you can get them to make things look good when they are, in fact, really bad.

"The numbers had some puzzling contradictions, particularly in the assertion that Sandy "did not substantively impact" the jobs count for November, and in substantial downward revisions from previous months.

Also, the drop in the unemployment rate appeared to reflect little more than a continued exodus of workers from the labor force.

The labor force participation rate, already around 30-year lows, fell further in the month to 63.6 percent. That represented 350,000 fewer workers.

In all, there were a net 122,000 fewer people with jobs".

They obviously aren't reading the New York Times and Washington Post. There are 40-50 pages of want ads of businessmen looking for workers.

I didn't mean it like that; I'm just saying that people often praise or detract from a president based on actions that president doesn't actually have controll over. Yes, the president can have an effect on most things; but that effect, by its very nature, is often indirect.

Snark is one thing; but there are people that actually believe that the president can do anything and have a direct effect on everything.

/ I'm not a big fan of Obama; neither do I think he's a sekrit moosilm turrest; I feel he's one dude with the most thankless job in the United States. And no matter what he does; someone is going to be upset with him.

. . . an average statewide price of $3.309 per gallon.

$4.18 at the pump yesterday. Welcome to the north east.

Wouldn't mind if I could get on the gravy train too though.

Because they just aren't looking for a job. This area I work in has an unemployment rate of just above 3% with many employers pleading for resumes/applicants. Can't find them with a search warrant.

Extra points for remembering to misspell words- ("hale") was a nice touch. Just remember the "O" in Obama is actually "0" and "Democrat" should be "Demonrat" or "Demoncrap" or "DemocRAT" and you can win over the Russian judge.
