| bdub77 By taking note you of course mean rolling a dollar bill into a cocaine straw. |

| Cyberluddite Not quite as funny as a few years ago when some fundie Christian "news" site, in reposting wire service news stories, filtered the word "gay" to "homosexual" (fundies never use the word "gay" to describe gay people, since they think it implies that you can be "happy" as a sodomite sinner). This resulted in the stories about Olympic sprinter Tyson Gay coming out like this: |

FTFA: The site's auto-filter apparently took the man's name out of context as an anti-homophobic slur. Quit journalizing. Apply at Burger King. |

"Anti-homophobic slur" Ya picked the wrong words there, Mr Blogger. |

I've run into this problem (Dyke is in my name). The most memorable was when ToysRus wouldn't let my wife ship a gift, saying that our inscription (and billing info) was offensive. She actually wrote them about it and the response was basically, "We're sorry you have an offensive name. Have you considered changing your it?" |

*changing it /bad editing |

The Sports Illustrated site Fan Nation is not ESPN. Or is that the joke? |
||
| happyleper
FTFA: He also happens to possess a surname that might trip up some 12-year-old boys -- or, apparently, an anti-vulgarity auto-filter used by the Sports Illustrated site Fan Nation. Fail tag belongs to subby -- this wasn't ESPN. |

c-ment: Penis van Lesbian? Which I TV chat site I used to go to would actually accept, since those are considered "non-slang", "clinical" terms. But it still censored Dick van Dyke to **** van ****. I used to know a guy named Dick Hare. Don't know why he never changed it. Got a lot of laughs when he was paged at an airport. Later, Joe |
