Isn't this only useful if your giftee is a heavy facebook user, who uses multiple apps, tends to purchase items through facebook/facebook sponsored links, and disables all the privacy-protection mechanisms so all the third party can snoop their data effectively?

Or is it just an analog to one of those sites where you pick the gender, the age, and relationship to you, and they offer popular gift choices? 'Cause we got those already.

2. who they are friendly-enough with that they want to send a gift - I would love to give gifts outside my immediate family, maybe someday I'll be able to afford to... and it will be a glorious day of surprise giving at that point.
3. but don't have their address - I do not keep an 'address' book, because every time I try I lose it and have to make a new one
4. but they are on facebook together - damn that site for being so useful

6. or their workplace address - who keeps workplace addresses for other people they don't need for work purposes?

I've passed Peak Facebook, personally. FB's plan to make FB synonymous with the internet isn't working for me. I don't even use it on my browser anymore. Why TF would I want to "like" Samsung or Walmart or shiat like that? Then they start posting shiat on my wall. And I can't care less what companies my friends like.

I like to use FB like my own personal Fark thread (partially since mods don't greenlight my shiat). Often it's to share a link I found on Fark. And sometimes I like to argue with my extended family when I'm bored or surly. But I only interact with people I know. If I'm going to argue/debate/talk with random assholes on the 'net, it's going to be on Fark.

Get the fark off my lawn.

Don't expect facebook to be around in 5-10 years if this is the best they could come up with since the IPO.
