Hey look at that, injecting a lethal poison into your body can have side effects. Huh, who knew. |

I'm more interested in the 10K private medical bill that she is now stuck with, and why. One of two reasons: -In the UK public health care is denied for self inflicted trauma. Doubt it. -In the UK the only way you're going to be treated in an emergency is to shell out some cash. This is here is my bet. |

wildcardjack: propasaurus: If it's injected, it's invasive. That's what I was thinking. In the US, if you break the skin, it's classified as surgery. That is, someone with MD certification is required to perform the procedure, and not just any old RN. That gives you better odds, but it still doesn't guarantee beautiful results. /Avoid |

criscodisco: GAT_00: Hey look at that, injecting a lethal poison into your body can have side effects. Huh, who knew. It wasn't Botox or any other poison, but hey, read TFA and you'll see she's still a dumb biatch. I went to see a derm about a scar on my face, and she suggested using a derma-filler to smooth it out. The idea of injecting some plasticky gel into my face, even under rx, even by a dr, skeeved me out enough for me to decide against it. So now I live with a scar on my face. Happily as I age it's becoming less prominent so I don't think about it much now. Don't know if it makes me more or less vain, but at least I'm not ruined like these women are. |

Doubt it. -In the UK the only way you're going to be treated in an emergency is to shell out some cash. This is here is my bet. The NHS is pretty good for emergency treatment. Nobody I know here has ever paid a penny for it. You wouldn't even be able to find anyone to take your money. It's more like, - if you want immediate attention from a top consultant in a private hospital - if you want non-mainstream or experimental treatment - if the treatment you want is classified as unnecessary cosmetic surgery you need to shell out some cash. Otherwise you need to get in the queue behind the people whose need for the NHS plastic surgeon is more urgent (burn victims, accident victims etc.) |

I honestly can't tell that much of a difference between the before and after. Though she is tired and makeup-less in the after. I'm going to be such an old lady when I become an old lady. I'm not going to do any of that crap. Well, that's not true. I'll look very much like the 40/50/70 yr old I am with facial wrinkles, a saggy tummy, and too much ankle skin, but my tits will be as high and firm as a school girl's. |

Hey, look at me! I went to school to learn all about tooth anatomy (and some limited courses on the rest of the body), and now I can save you a trip to a board certified dermatologist. How do you think the reverse of this would play out? Go to the dermatologist and get your teeth fixed, I don't think the dental association is going to be happy. |

Doubt it. -In the UK the only way you're going to be treated in an emergency is to shell out some cash. This is here is my bet. Nope. No-one ever has to pay for emergency treatment, nor do they have to wait for it. People often have to wait for elective surgery, but not emergency, that would be silly. Looks like she had completely non-urgent long term nerve stuff that she wasnt happy with waiting to see someone about so went to a private specialist, who referred her back to the NHS (no fee) hospital where she got a bunch of tests and sent home. Given the original clinic actually openly says they dont believe she has any effects from the treatment (they would have to be farking certain to say that to a newspaper) I would suggest she is an obsessive flake who is spending money seeing private doctors about semi-imagined nerve conditions because NHS doctors wont spend hundreds of hours listening to her once they have diagnosed that she isnt ill. they usually expect you to have an actual medical condition before they refer you on you see, whereas a private doctor will take your money thankyoukindly. |

Am I the only one that noticed that there were two women in the article? The hot younger one, pictured, who had minor side effects like uneven lips, and the older one who said her wedding was ruined n she paid 10k for private drs? The one in the picture said she just went to a second dr to add more fillers to smooth the first side effects out. Still, the fact that anyone can inject things in the UK seems like a serious lapse in oversight. Much like the cosmetic makeup tattooing industry is here in the us. |

SkunkWerks: "Marie Adams, left, as she usually appears in a high-resolution, well-lit, professionally-taken photograph, and right, as she looked after the filler surgery in a shiatty, badly-lit, pixellated amateur photograph." That's exactly what I was thinking, but you expressed it better than I could have. |
