| nmemkha If someone enters the Konami Code does it self-destruct? |
||
Captain Steroid My, what a cute little instrument of death. :P |
||
| Cythraul I'll bet the graphics on that game are kick-ass. |
||
| kbronsito evidence that the A Team has been sent behind enemy lines to train these guys. |
||
| zedster Doesn't the us military have a system like this? I think they found the ps/xbox controllers didn't require as much training |
||
| Fano Ho Ho Ho I have a tank |
||
| Counter_Intelligent Suck it, Microsoft! |

It's nice to see the maker movement become a global phenomenon. |

They are going to camp at Assad's respawn point aren't they? |

What's its name? Blue screen of death? |

Sham II Wow! |

Meh, everyone knows it only takes 3 hits to bring down a tank ![]() two hits if you get the treads |
||
| airsupport Incidentally, closer inspection reveals the latest achievement of Syrian rebels: a home-made armoured vehicle waiting to be deployed. |

So when it gets a flat tire, how do you change it? The tire skirts look like they're welded to the body armor. /even a light AT weapon is going to do some serious damage to that thing //or a heavy MG |

Bendal: So when it gets a flat tire, how do you change it? The tire skirts look like they're welded to the body armor. /even a light AT weapon is going to do some serious damage to that thing //or a heavy MG It actually looks like there are hinges where the tires are covered. |

Real proof that the Assad regime is on its last leg is that this thing hasn't been laughed at and destroyed. |
||
| Grand_Moff_Joseph So, the rebels just type in 'giveusatank' and it magically appears, right? |

Bendal: So when it gets a flat tire, how do you change it? The tire skirts look like they're welded to the body armor. /even a light AT weapon is going to do some serious damage to that thing //or a heavy MG I'm imagining someone throwing a grenade underneath it, or just a mine/IED for that matter. Not exactly the most robust "tank" i've ever seen, but I guess if I was in a small-arms fight I would rather be in that than standing naked in the street. /In the land of small-bore weapons, the half-assedly armored man is king |

While I admire the enthusiasm, I think that they could have done something more productive with their spare time, like nothing. I like tanks, but I admit that their utility is nigh zero, and that home-brew like this is literally a logistical deficit. |

Counter_Intelligent: Suck it, Microsoft! Sony will just install a rootkit, and they will have to spend months in court to get it to turn back on |

![]() oh boy... is this great?! |
||
| toraque Okay, the advertisers for World Of Tanks have officially crossed the line with this one. |

AFV maybe. Tank no. Wheels make it an AC at best. If this was in a Command Decision game it think we wouldn't force the -2 moral roll to infantry within 10 cm rule due to the fact that it is more funny looking than threatening. |

What it looked like before the armor was welded on: |

I wonder if it uses haptic technology |

zedster: Doesn't the us military have a system like this? I think they found the ps/xbox controllers didn't require as much training Essentially. Game designers have spent a few decades now developing the most intuitive way for people to remote pilot military devices. It only makes sense that people wanting it to be done for real would use that research, especially since the young men they want to do the piloting are likely already pretty familiar with the controls. |

Syrian Rebels Now Have a Tank Powered by a Playstation Controller Does this phrasing bother anyone else? The tank is not powered by a PS controller; it is powered by a diesel engine. One part of the vehicle is operated via PS controller. |

However, their bravery in opposing an oppressive regime is worthy of respect, no matter how "funny looking" you think their armor is... |

![]() That's no DualShock, some sort of cheap PC pad styled after it, most likely. Those missing analog sticks would probably be pretty handy had they gone with the real deal. |

Wow that looks like crap. I can't wait for the follow up. |

As rebels go, you've got to hand it to these guys. Sling shot mortars, anti-aircraft cannon mounted on Toyota pickups, hand made tanks. I like these guys. |

But without auto-aim, how do they hope to hit anything? Should have gone with keyboard/mouse setup. /flame on! |

The tank is not powered by a PS controller; it is powered by a diesel engine. One part of the vehicle is operated via PS controller. Came here to say this. If only the rest of the world knew how much power was stored inside of a controller... I mean, it can power an entire armored car! We need to research controller-based fuel cells immediately! |

| kbronsito Im_Gumby: What it looked like before the armor was welded on: [www.autoinsane.com image 400x233] this could also explain why they haven't toppled Assad yet. They keep shooting at his men, but kill none of them. |

MilesTeg: [upload.wikimedia.org image 250x188] Ah Battlezone. Useful Tip from 1981: Do not set your root-beer beside the joysticks when you go to play it. The damn front is sloped and it will slide off and spill on the floor. You will then flee to the bus outside and hide until the rest stop time is done and you resume the class trip to Ottawa. |

Looks like something those douchebags at Red Jacket Firearms would come up with. I wonder how many scripted cuss fits fatass Will had to have to get that thing running. |

You know, I always wondered if our engineers and such could do a better job at this. I mean, think of it as junkyard wars for actual war. I have to wonder if you gave out guys the same stuff, on a time limit, what would they come up with? |
