I used to decorate my skeleton. My landlady didn't appreciate it and make me take him out of the window. No sense of humor at all.

I like Christmas lights but I don't put any up. Effort and whatnot. Might see if my neighbors will let me borrow their little tree again though...

All I know is I have had enough Christmas music for the next decade already, and there is only 14 more days to go. My fault for working in retail though.

Told my husband that I have enough to do. If he wants a tree/ X-mas decorations he has to put them up. Nothing yet.

If you're neither a kid nor have kids it really is a pretty sappy holiday. Going through the same motions every year gets boring, and there's already a big family get together just a month before it. But I imagine expereincing it with a kid who's still new to it might revive it a little. I still at least like the less-tacky light displays though.

Odd, I'm usually the most apathetic person in the room but I love Christmas time. Every year when the wiffey and I pick up the tree we get drunk on brandy & amaretto and egg nog and watch Scrooged while we decorate the tree. I'm usually far enough in my cups by the end of it to become a blubbering fool.

I quit decorating for Xmas a decade ago. I'm so happy I did. I think that the kids get a thrill out of it, but to me, it's just a lot of work and disruption. My wife went into a storage room in the garage yesterday, pulled out a wreath, hung it on the back door leading into the garage and said "Decorate for Christmas. Did it!"

I strung white lights along the railing of my porch a few years ago, and just left them there. When I need light outside at night, those work fine no matter the season. In fact, I think they're better than a traditional single-bulb porch light anyway.

/I do need to replace a strand this year, though.

when I was a kid I always felt bad for the Jehova's witness kid when our class would have a party with cupcakes and punch for Christmas, Valentines Day or Halloween or whatever because they couldn't participate. Now I kind of wish I was a Jehova's witness so I could have a really good excuse to not have to participate in these holidays. All I do now is waste gas and time to be around people, who for the most part, annoy me after an hour or two and then frown and look down on me because I drink and smoke just to get through it all. Luckily I wear my shirt that says "Merry Christmas, sh*tter was full" and that helps as repellent in addition to the beer and frequent trips outside to smoke.

I was thinking about decorating this year. That should be good enough....

egg nog is great for bulking up. if they served it all year around i'd be 350 lbs and 4% body fat

Well, I have to admit to the fountain one.
I live in south Florida, fake icicles hanging off my little bird bath & white lights all over the lawn are the closest we get to a white Christmas down here.

/Not that I'm complaining. No need to shovel or worry about black ice.
