His inevitable conclusion after huffing duster for 3 weeks? Trickle down works? *clicks article* Oh, that's just sad. |

See, this is why we need to keep cannabis illegal so these guys won't have a safe alternative and eventually end up dying. |
||
| Shadow Blasko There really is nothing snarky or funny about this story. This is just sad. Sorry you couldn't beat your demons dude... |

Oh, it's a different Patrick ... well, carry on then. |

Seriously, though, making marijuana legal and available would have probably prevented this. Huffers are addicts of convenience. They get high on things they can easily get their hands on. They are perhaps the most neurotic of addicts, in that they indulge themselves in legally obtainable materials rather than take their chances with the law and illegal drugs. This guy should have moved to Washington or Colorado. He could have been saved. |

Police found his body Saturday afternoon, lying face-down in the back seat of his Ford Explorer in the parking lot of a Boynton Beach store. Police say Henderson was surrounded by several empty aerosol cans. An autopsy will determine what killed him, police said. I wonder... |

Darnit. I guessed "elected to congress". |
||
| Krusty_the_Barbarian Also shows how incarceration has absolutely no effect. Arrested three times, dead weeks later. If monitored treatment was the first option, would he still be here? |
||

At least he died doing what he loved. |

I don't understand your analysis about his desire to be law abiding. He was arrested 3 times within a week, so obviously he knew that he'd be arrested for inhaling, but that didn't stop him. He didn't even try to go to a place were he wasn't in plain sight. |

Yeah, or maybe being law abiding wasn't ever a factor for him. Huffing must be great. |

Why do all huffers end up with that crooked face? Does it end up causing a stroke or some kind of paralysis? |
||

With a degree in marketing in hand and a solid job at a successful energy drink company, Patrick Henderson seemed to have his life on track. Todd Margaret/Thunder Muscle?? |

I always picture people who huff "dust destroyer" as people who are so far down the shiathole they can't even afford a real high anymore, but it was this guy's drug of choice. |

Ah, the golden years of the '50s, when you could buy 16 oz tubes of glue with your plastic models. |

Very sad. By the way, if my son calls me and tells me he fell off the wagon and just bailed himself out of jail, I would have picked him up and been with him until he could get himself into another treatment center. I'm not saying he wouldn't have relapsed, but it is less likely. "Dad and mom? I just bailed out." "Oh dear son. What happened?" "I was huffing." "Well that's horrible. I know you can stay clean. You have it in you to do i... Can you call back later? Jeopardy is starting and I don't want to miss the first question." |

The right side of his face is pretty telling. He's stroked out once or twice. |

WTF. I need to read about huffing because I clearly don't understand the appeal. Maybe it's a good pickup line at the bars: "Hey, I have a couple cans of duster in my computer bag...wanna step out back for a smoke and a huff?" |
