Police found his body Saturday afternoon, lying face-down in the back seat of his Ford Explorer in the parking lot of a Boynton Beach store. Police say Henderson was surrounded by several empty aerosol cans.

Also shows how incarceration has absolutely no effect. Arrested three times, dead weeks later. If monitored treatment was the first option, would he still be here?

I don't understand your analysis about his desire to be law abiding. He was arrested 3 times within a week, so obviously he knew that he'd be arrested for inhaling, but that didn't stop him. He didn't even try to go to a place were he wasn't in plain sight.

By the way, if my son calls me and tells me he fell off the wagon and just bailed himself out of jail, I would have picked him up and been with him until he could get himself into another treatment center. I'm not saying he wouldn't have relapsed, but it is less likely.
