THere was no room on the roof with the dog. What did you expect him to do?

In his defense, it was also where he kept the Christmas presents.

Right, "Dumbass" - Because none of us lived through the same.

Remember riding in the back of a pickup as a kid, standing up like an idiot?
Remember the whole reason station wagons exist?

No... Sadly, most of you probably do not. Well... Look out, man, I have a Nutty Bar and won't hesitate to eat it within 50 feet of you! And I think I have some high-gluten cookies somewhere around here...

Yes. And you know what's funny? Normalcy in rural areas is felony in urban areas.

/Grew up in rural Alaska. Learned to use a shotgun and chainsaw before my teens. Remember driving the back roads at eleven. No problem culling and gutting an animal for food. Actually know how to start a fire. Deal with it.

ChipNASA: THIS is WAY better.

Towing your 7 year old granddaugter in her Barbie Car behind your SUV held on by a couple of dog leashes...oh and both of you are *drunk*

Funny how this is now the crime of the century but yet people do remember doing this kind of stuff all the time as children.

At least he didn't have to listen to them constantly yelling "Are we there yet?" and "Stop hitting yourself! Stop hitting yourself!"

There was a drive-in movie theater in my town when I was growing up. Riding in the trunk was just a good way to save five bucks.

You forgot hitting road signs with a baseball bat as you were passing them.

As a kid my favorite car out of those we had was the huge station wagon with the backwards facing rear seat. Even had sky lights in the roof above our heads.

At least 2 generations of kids have been rasied since those cars exsisted.
Maybe that's a good thing from a child surviving into adulthood way.
But its a sad thing in the way kids used to be able to experience life.

As a snotling I used to insist on riding in the trunk sometimes....

I don't know. Just when I think I am jaded, something comes along and just blows that away.
