| Three Crooked Squirrels I'm not sure I'd enjoy the taste of Pepsi and chicken as a cooking mix. Nor do I think I'd enjoy Pepsi-chicken potato chips. But, in that video, Chinese chicks seem to really want to jump on guys that like the Pepsi-chicken combination. So, if I was in China, I'd learn to love it. |

Three Crooked Squirrels: I'm not sure I'd enjoy the taste of Pepsi and chicken as a cooking mix. Nor do I think I'd enjoy Pepsi-chicken potato chips. I usually use Sprite as a glaze when cooking ham. I'm now morbidly curious as to how a Sprite-Ham Flavored Lay's Chips would be. |

Hostess tried out cherry, orange and grape flavoured potato chips in Canada in the 70's. They were awful. |

7-11 Big Bite Hot Dog flavored potato chips. I saw these at 7-11 for the first time a couple of days ago bought them and they taste just like a hot dog with mustard, ketchup and relish. DEE-LISH! http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/08 /29/7-eleven-hot-dog-potato-chip s _n_937237.html |

Lay's isn't the only one. Pringles does this s**t all the time and it's always disgusting and confusing. Just give me my pizza flavored crap and leave it alone. /My lawn. Get off it. |
||
| farkingismybusiness That sounds disgusting. Coke-Chicken Flavored Lay's Chips sounds pretty good though. |

Well, compared to "Ten McDonald's Burgers Combined Into One," Pepsi-Chicken chips sound positively appetizing... |
||
| aerojockey Colas are underused in cooking, maybe because they seem too low brow or something. Marinading your meat in cola can be very tasty. |

Make it pepsi and fried chicken and you could sell truckloads in the south. |

Winnipeg was the testing ground for all kind of shiat back then. I just remember going 'eeeeewwwww!" when I saw those bags at the store. I sooooooo regret never trying them now. |

I bought some British 'Angus Steak' flavoured chips the other day. They didn't really taste like anything. |

Max Awesome: I bought some British 'Angus Steak' flavoured chips the other day. They didn't really taste like anything. An Australian company (Kettle Chips, I believe) make 'Peri-Peri Chicken) flavoured kettle chips. All I can say is they don't taste remotely like it. They're a 'NFI what I'm eating' flavoured chip... |

| schief2 All right, this being Fark, and in the interest of SCIENCE!, I ran down to the neighborhood supermarket and grabbed a bag of these. I noticed that they were the only flavor of Lay's that was not also labelled in English...I can only assume that Lay's doesn't want prying foreign eyes to know the awful truth about this innocuous-looking new flavor. ![]() That's chicken wings diving into a festive bowl of Pepsi and cilantro. ![]() The chips themselves look fairly normal. I grabbed a couple chips, bit in, and got a mouthful of the flavor of... ... Celery. That's really the best way I can describe it, is like a celery flavor with some extra sweetness and saltiness. I'm guessing that must be due to the cilantro in the picture on the package. If I concentrated I could kind of detect a bit of that sort of artificial "cola" flavor you get from hard candies like cola-flavored lollipops. But that was mostly because I was looking for it. I'm not sure where the "chicken" entered into it at all. It sounds disgusting, but it wasn't terrible....like some sort of extremely distant adopted cousin of sour cream and onion. I did finish the bag, but then, I was also hungry. I'd rank them in the middle of the pack of the pantheon of Lay's China classics such as Italian Meat (aka spaghetti), Lobster Cheese, and Cucumber. That concludes today's science lesson. This will be on the midterm. |

I have no idea of how it would translate into the chip medium, but chicken marinated in a soy sauce-orange soda mixture is the shiznit. |
