This is like those cats that go to rest homes, only it goes to private homes and they charge a fee. I'd be worried about the cat getting stressed from the trip or getting lost en route.

I prefer the idea of cat cafes like they have in Japan. The cats don't get moved around and the interactions are supervised, so the logistics and risks are better controlled.

I have a cat that would love to be a part of this, he's a silly attention whore that loves everyone and constantly begs for attention.

I'd like to do this in Long Island, NY. I have a cat that was abandoned along with 3 others in a tiny pet carrier abandoned on the door of a local vet's office. I take care of them and other strays and ferals in the neighborhood (I also trap spay/neuter, and release).

Anyway, that particular cat I mentioned is friendly, meows, and is very needy. I figure someone would like him, even for (cheap or free) rent. I just don't have enough time to make him happy since I have my dog, a bunch of stray and feral cats, and a lot of work to do.

I used to have a lot of trouble with my blood pressure during a particularly stressful period of my life. When it was high, my cats, Calvin and Hobbes, would come over and lie on me and purr. It lowered my blood pressure every time.

They also make good foot warmers if you can get them to stay put.
