Nothing like slashing your own lawyer to demonstrate to the jury you're not a violent criminal. |

Sounds like the kids got to learn a lot about the culturally sensitive revolving door court system that LBJ built. |

I've been trying to post a few humorously whimsical images to this thread but apparently Fark is broken. Says something about thumbnailing images or imaging nailed thumbs or nailing thumbs imaginatively or some damn thing. So just imagine scooters and phones and clams, ending with a photo of Trent Reznor. /Farking Fark Farks farking badly. |

fusillade762: Nothing like slashing your own lawyer to demonstrate to the jury you're not a violent criminal. Hell yeah, a bad day in an American prison is better than a good day back home in Mexico.... |

Why would you cut your own lawyer in court? I'm having trouble figuring that out. |

davidphogan: Why would you cut your own lawyer in court? I'm having trouble figuring that out. Maybe he gave him his exorbinant bill and the client got mad about the Brown U sticker on his car and the tassled Italian loafers he was wearing. |

davidphogan: Why would you cut your own lawyer in court? I'm having trouble figuring that out. Deddeh told the jury to return tomorrow morning, saying he needed to meet with attorneys in the case and decide whether to declare a mistrial or proceed with closing arguments. Well it will probably give him a mistrial. Unlikely the reason he did it, but he might gain some advantage out of the attack nevertheless. |

After the previous article and this one, I'm really starting to question my career choice |

Here's a nice way the guy you just went stabby on can fark you over: Deddeh told the jury to return tomorrow morning, saying he needed to meet with attorneys in the case and decide whether to declare a mistrial or proceed with closing arguments. "No your honor, I don't think that the incident might have biased the jury against my client. I think opposing counsel is right, we should just go ahead and close this thing out." |
||
| Gyrfalcon davidphogan: Why would you cut your own lawyer in court? I'm having trouble figuring that out. Usually it's because the guy has a court-appointed attorney, wants another one, and the judge has said, "No, you can't." The guy figures cleverly "Well, if he's dead they'll have to give me a new one!" |

Actual alumni of Grossmont here. I had the teacher who does this every year as part of her government class and I imagine that she responded with a very dry sarcastic remark after the fact. /should give her a call |
