When being questioned by a cop, you should only say three things: Am I under arrest? Am I being detained? Am I free to go? |
||
| Diogenes If he were a member of my fraternity when I was president I would have had him beaten by the brotherhood with sacks full of doorknobs. |

Sheppard-Sakakihara was taken to Tempe St. Luke's Hospital, where he was uncooperative and medically sedated, the report said. Tests revealed he had alcohol poisoning with a blood-alcohol count of 0.232 percent, police said. Drunk frat boy tries to show off for some drunken minor girls and ends up taking a swing at a cop and getting pummeled senseless, tazed and arrested? [okaywiththis] |

Marine1: Frats... eh. Mostly unnecessary. No, they help young men "experience" things. Like someone's thumb up your butt, you know, for FUN. There's nothing worse than self-loathing homos. |

The frat's lawyers are for protecting the frat. You're on your own, kid. |

| Ponzholio Police previously broke up a gang-style fight between two fraternities in Tempe last month. One man was severely beaten in that incident. I don't know if a fraternity fight could equate to a gang-style fight... Turn off the lights of your Beamer and roll down the windows. Slowly creep up to their house and yell "YOUR DAD IS ONLY A JUNIOR EXECUTIVE AT LEHMAN BROTHERS!" isn't quite the same as a drive-by shooting. |

Well, with that attitude, he's got a bright future in the GOP. |

Not sure who I would shoot first, a cop or a frat-boy---either way they're both Arizonans and therefore deserve a painful death for choosing to stay there. |

serial_crusher: Eh, calling them peasants and bragging about how rich you are is probably going to just get you some eye rolls. I'd say punching a cop is where this guy's big mistake was... THIS. Got to work with LEO on campus for a lot of stuff and it was easy to blow off the drunken bravado of the students. However, if the situation got physical then all bets were off, and there would be no sympathy from the local PD. I remember one guy playing the "my fraternity has money..." speech to an officer as he was being arrested. The officer countered with, "that's awesome. My fraternity has arrest powers when you take a swing at us. Let's see who wins..." /great job if you needed to pay the rent, but do not miss it at all |

I had a friend who was arrested because me was a total farking tool towards the cops when they picked him up for pissing in an alleyway. He went on a "I make more in a week than you do in a year!!!" rant and ended up in lockup for the night. I've been in a situation where the cops were interested in possibly detaining me for drunk and disorderly, but I was incredibly civil and friendly and said that I was okay, and thanked them for their care because it was their job and they just said "Well, we hope you're okay. Take care." and moved on. /Aussie cops //Very hit and miss... |

![]() Mitch: (On phone) Hey, dude, what's up? Frat Guy: Yo, Neil, is that you? Mitch: Yeah, it's me...Neil! Frat Guy: Hey, it's Jason, man. We just got back from laying a beating on these guys. I mean, we messed them up good. And the whole time, this guy's just lying there, crying like a little girl! Hold on, I'll get Terry. Mitch: No don't get Terry! I mean, look, the reason I'm calling is this - there's all these guys going around to the different frat houses pretending to be cops, but they're not real cops. They're fake cops. They just robbed a bunch of stuff from the delta psi house. So don't be fooled, OK? Frat Guy: Sure thing, dude. thanks for calling. Mitch: OK, no problem there, dude. Now, uh, you go back to doing something latently homoerotic, all right? (Hangs up) Mitch: (dials) Hello, real cops? |

I wouldn't have been surprised if it was a Tulane student. I grew up near Tulane. Every year, the student body consistently has tons of wealthy & extremely arrogant kids. One of them, named Josh Gimelstob, killed a campus cop by running him over with his car. He tried to get away with it, but the body shop - where he took his bloody Jeep on the down low - called NOPD. He got off with only 6 months in jail. |
