I think their explanation was reasonable. The "promotion" tag was the twitter party they were hosting and it was them telling people the party was over and that something bad had happened. Might look bad, but seems legit.

As long as the media keeps glorifying these assholes that kill lots of people, they will keep killing. I'm sure this guy's face will be all over the media in a matter of hours, if it isn't already.

If you are unhappy with your life and you want everyone to know about it, what better way than to murder lots of people, and be famous for a few days.

I think the media has to take responsibility and not give these guys their 15 minutes of fame. But they can't tear themselves away. It is the media that makes these people important. It's not enough to kill yourself, you have to kill scores of others, so that everyone knows how unhappy you were.

And the more you kill, the more the media will talk about you. That is the reason mass murderers do it. They want to be famous. And the media will make them more famous for every dead body. The media needs to quit it's appetite for murder.

Well, any excuse not to go into K-Mart is OK with me. I usually use "Because it's K-Mart" though.

If I had any hope of ever understanding Twitter it went out the window when I learned that K Mart throws parties on it. K Mart couldn't throw a party inside a K Mart, and they sell party supplies!
