Good: Batman avoided more jail time. Bad: secret identity revealed. Fark: wearing costume confined to city limits, must appologize to the Commissioner

Toshiro Mifune's Letter Opener
He only can wear his costume within the Petoskey city limits, about 225 miles northwest of Detroit.

Well, THAT'S a relief.

How can anyone confine what clothes you wear to a geographic area? Doesn't sounds like this guy has parole or probation that could impose limits. Well maybe for 30 days. I'd also like to know where a simple trespass took place when dealing with a car accident. Because I'd hate to hear "You're trespassing on this public road because you won't stop bothering us, sir."

Mark has been dressing up in costumes, and wandering the streets for at least 15 years. He used to dress up as The Crow, and wander the street all night.

He was caught trespassing last year hanging off the side of a building dressed as Batman.

Man, the police department should do a 180 and roll with this. Get him through Police Academy and let him wear the costume on duty. Think of the possibilities...

Yup. If the options on the table are:

1. Standard punishment for interfering with a police investigation.
2. Some other form of parole.

In most cases, Option 2 is valid by default. If it was something like chemical sterilization or the like then the appeals court might go "wtf man", but most options are on the table.

In Michigan, don't you have to be served a notice of trespass and given the opportunity to leave before they can take any trespass violation action against you? Also, how the fark is "pestering/annoying cops" obstructing justice? We're missing something here.
