There's a silly little song by a local Alaskan performer I've been looking for, but can't find any reference on the web.

On the outside chance -- I was thinking it might've been Hobo Jim, but it's not listed on his repertoire -- do you remember "The Little Tourist Song" (not sure of the title, but I must've heard it a hundred times when I lived there):

when we have really still air when it's very cold, the particulate output of woodstoves and fireplaces causes the air quality to go down really low, so people have to stop using wood stoves unless they are pellet-fired.
