The privilege is a lot more narrow than a lot of people realize.

It isn't, "I'm a member of Congress, you can't arrest me."  It's, "I'm a member of Congress on my way to discharge my official duties, you can't arrest me on a misdemeanor charge."

In any case, I think the Senate might be in recess...which would render the clause inoperative.
