jchic: I don't care. I like cracked's lists I'm with you on this. They may not have a 100% hit rate, but some of them are pretty interesting and they can be pretty funny at times. |

jchic: I don't care. I like cracked's lists Agreed. I know it is cool to bash Cracked around here, but when I click a link I tend to fall into the Cracked rabbit hole and I don't come out for quite some time. |

My favorite: 6 Things Rich People Need to Stop Saying: #6. "Well, $500,000 a Year Might Sound Like a Lot, but I'm Hardly Rich." "The amount that I have to reinvest in my business and feed my family is more like $600,000 ... and so by the time I feed my family, I have maybe $400,000 left over ..." -- Congressman John Fleming "It is hard to ask more of households making $250,000 or $300,000 a year. In large parts of the country, that kind of income does not get you a big home or lots of vacations or anything else that is associated with wealth." -- Senator Chuck Schumer |

You are certainly not destitute at $300K, but you ain't even close to rich. You are in the middle. |

| dstanley 300K here in Minnesota =/= 300K in New York or California. |

Maybe you should drive: Slu: You are certainly not destitute at $300K, but you ain't even close to rich. You are in the middle. In the middle of what? In the middle of the top 5% income earners: What percent Are You (pops) |

In the middle of the top 5% income earners: What percent Are You (pops) 300k is pretty good no matter where you are. Obviously, how far that 300k will take you depends on where you're living. I could live much more lavishly on 300k in the middle of the country than I could, for example, in San Francisco. But 300k is plenty of money to be very comfortable with wherever you are. |
