||
| hubiestubert The girlcritter has four inches of snow in New Mexico. I have a dusting as of this morning in Western Massachusetts, and my Aunt has green grass in December in Maine. Tell me it's not a kooky year... |

| fusillade762 Lionel Mandrake: Has Pat Robertson blamed gay people yet? Give it time. Though maybe he'll be too busy ripping Christmas bong hits to notice. |

| Shadow Blasko cantsleep: Headed our way tomorrow, Blasko. Oh I know... I have been tracking this one in for 4 days now, waiting for the damned models to converge. I put down cash money Friday that we'd see 6-8" for northern Cincy tonight into tomorrow. Looks like I am going to make some money. |

We had frozen rain for most of the day which turned to snow about 30 min ago. Drive home had some scary spots. Should be an interesting night. /southwest-central Arkansas |

BLIZZARD! Actually they're calling for 1"-3" in extreme Northwest Arkansas (I'm in Fayetteville), with snowfall mostly in the 4"-6" range a little bit south of here. I think they WAAAAY overestimated this storm, as is common with winter storms in the South. Then again, we don't have the resources to deal with winter storms because they don't happen very often, so it pays to be prepared. Especially on a holiday weekend. |

| Mister Peejay And in Cleveland we got a little rain the other day. The lakes make things kinda messed up weather-wise. Christmas Eve, I had to drive from Cleveland (sits on a big heat sink) to Ashland (70mi south). It was raining sloppy slush in Ashland. On the way back north, it turned to snow around the halfway point, where the watershed divide is between what goes in the Great Lakes and what goes into, eventually, the Mississippi. North of that line, it stopped snowing and was pretty nice out, maybe a light warm drizzle. On the other hand, it will snow here until mid-April, so there's that. Anyway long story short, looks like the nation is going to get the snow we didn't get last year. |
||
| Lord Jubjub It is 40F with 20 mph winds in Houston. Enjoy the rain, it's going to get COLD. |

Probably not a severe as this for the southern states, but definite snowmakers for the midwest. |

| texdent Got some snow in Texas after it had been raining for most of the day. Going to be fun tonight when everything freezes. |

I live in the Ft Smith/Van Buren Arkansas area on the Ark/Ok border.. it's snowing it's ass off here. Niiiice. We had a tornado rip through here not less than a week ago...FARK!.. yet I managed to get laid each time... Where I am, I am smack dab in the middle of it, and the snowflakes are the size of half dollars. I doesn't snow here often, and it's nice when it does.. so, me an my bottle of lorcets and wine are going to enjoy the rest of this evening, living by the interstate, making side bets on the next tractor trailer to slide off in to the ditch next to the property here.... |

I was in Springdale, AR a few years back. They had a inch of snow and the town just about shut down. Being a Northerner, I was amused. /Everything melted by 10am. //A Yankee goes south for a visit and then goes home ///A damn Yankee goes south and stays |

We got this in Dallas, after overnight thunderstorms. Snowed from about 10am til 4pm. ![]() The roads were nice and slushy so I did manage to get back from my parents house but I expect this to freeze solid overnight. |

Nasty weather here in Memphis. I expected the worst because the bird were in a feeding frenzy today. I figure to wake up tomorrow to a city sheathed in ice. |

hubiestubert: The girlcritter has four inches of snow in New Mexico. I have a dusting as of this morning in Western Massachusetts, and my Aunt has green grass in December in Maine. Tell me it's not a kooky year... A good portion of Southern and Nothern Maine have snow but those on the coast and in place such as Bangor, where I live we have nothing but that is all going to change Thursday. We are supposed to get up to 14 inches. |
||
| Shadow Blasko No Time To Explain: So how much snow/ice will drop? /less than 3cm/1 inch and I call you guys sissies //but I'll accept if you don't have the infrastructure to clear the roads For my area... 6 to 8 .. With Blizzard conditions regarding wind speeds. This is the latest from my buds at Ohio Valley Weather net... They have been dead on for this whole event, even when the models started getting wonky. |

Can't tell if this thing is going to give us anything here in STL. The original forecast called for it to hit us pretty hard but it seems like it's going to stay south of us. Was kind of looking forward to some snow since we didn't have any last year. /To all those south of me, especially in AL, stay safe. |

| Honest Bender Global warning, amiright? |
||
| Haliburton Cummings well, just make sure you all have your generators oiled up and your bigscreens going... nothing says "schadenfreude" like a fat guy with a freshly oiled generator... |
||
| Shadow Blasko Honest Bender: Global warning, amiright? Could well be... I mean, I know you were being facetious, but the current jet stream separation and moisture content of the air is due to higher than normal temps at certain levels.. thus increasing moisture levels and overall storm energy and ... Oh.. wait .. you were trolling. |
