Paris1127: As for his heart, well... There's a BIG difference between Louis XIV & Louis XVi. For one, Louis XIV would never have left Marie Antoinette a virgin for seven years. |

Can we get one of those guillotines to Capitol Hill ASAP? Blade needs to be sharp enough for 435 uses. Thanks. |

Jon iz teh kewl: Bslim: Sooo, who's up for some cured blood sausage? [www.grubgrade.com image 500x308] That is both disgusting me and, at the same time, making me glad that I have some cold leftover sausages in the fridge. Is there a medical or psychological term for that type of disconnect? (if there is, I bet the prefix "cannaboid" is part of it. just a guess...) /W&B /HNY, Fark |

buzzcut73: Can we get one of those guillotines to Capitol Hill ASAP? Blade needs to be sharp enough for 435 uses. Thanks. Hey! At least you can vote yours out. In the UK we still have a hereditary head of state AND a partially hereditary, partially appointed-for-life upper house AND an elected parliament. If the guillotine is going anywhere it needs to complete its European tour first. |

We're getting impatient here. buzzcut73 I've got whetstones, diamond stones, and rotary tools with sharpening attachments... I'll keep the blade sharp if you just keep feeding them into it. I can get you some help if you get tired. /thinks that falling off a "fiscal cliff" should also mandate that the entire legislative (and possibly executive) branch of government is automatically fired for not having done their jobs. |

I'll give you 500 bucks for it. It's cool, but there's just no market for stuff like this. |

| Abacus9 CSB time: A few years ago I visited the Basilica of Ste. Denis, where most of the French monarchs are buried. Downstairs in the necropolis were the graves of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette, side by side. The interesting thing to me was that someone had left roses on Marie's grave. I don't know if this is common or because it was the week of Bastille Day. Also, Henri IV was incredibly goofy looking according to the busts and statues. Imagine Screech from Saved by the Bell, but with a thick beard. |

It was nice to see that someone still cared about her (her memory at least). Have a great time! |
