Back in the 80's I was working on a jobsite with ironworkers. The Superintendant came out of retirement at 73 to run the job. He linped on both legs, was missing 2 fingers on one habd and 3 on the other. 2 weeks before we topped out, he had a stroke and didn't tell anyone, just kept coming to work. The project ended and he went back into retirement. 6 months later while fixing his barn roof, he fell off, breaking both legs, his back and 4 ribs. He crawled across his driveway, climbed into his truck and drove himself to the hospital. Tough ol' bastard.

/has family that are apiarists, no africanized bees this far north (yet) but I know enough of the breed/history and nearly had first hand experience of the bugs
