Full moon names date back to Native American tribes of a few hundred years ago who lived in what is now the northern and eastern United States.

While not a historian, fairly sure there are older moonage names.

That was terrible when Peter Steele died. He was only a few years older than I am right now. So young, and such a tragic loss of such a unique  voice and talent. Now I haz  a sad,  and I'm  usually more of the black metal/death metal type. Still,  I respect that kind of talent he had and miss it when it is ripped from us entirely  too soon.

No fog here (KIAD) but mid-level clouds obscuring the wolf moon so my Husky is snoring next to me.

You know when I point my telescope at the moon it looks the same every time.
