So he's a tough guy until someone asks for his real name?

What's his Fark handle?

Sounds like a lot of lost sleep caused him to find things silly funny, why is anyone surprised.  He really didn't do anything wrong, for it really is part of their job.  When we have a really bad snow fall that requires me shoveling the full length of my driveway, I clear the shoulder in front of my yard.  It solves two problems: first the snow clears off the plow before my driveway and doesn't rebury it, second guarantees usps can reach my mailbox.  However, if everyone wants to be whiney about it, I guess fire a guy for doing his job and having sleep deprivation.

A buddy of mine works for a DPW, and shared some of his plowing stories.  One story was how residents were told NOT to put Christmas trees to road, but one day plowing he noticed a tree on the road and couldn't stop to do anything about it, the tree was launched into the yard standing up like it was planted.  He is the type of guy who knows his residence well enough to make sure roads with elderly will get plowed early, but he has residents that will call the DPW to complain that an ambulance can't get down their road just to get their road plowed right then.  No ambulance was ever dispatched.  Don't complain about your local taxes when you pull crap like that.  He works for one of the nicer parts of MI, and sees some crazy DPW hate.

I didn't think it would be this soon before somebody defended the asshole.
You're actually proud of yourself for doing it too, aren't you?

I'll defend him as well.  Giggling about it was stupid.  Recording it was stupid.  Putting it on the web was stupid.  But he would have been doing his job precisely the same as had he not done the stupid things.  Where I live, being parked on a snow route would have got you ticketed as well as buried.

Here they tow your shiat and in order to get your car back you better not owe the city any driving related fines

Dogg says that in the last two days, he has gotten at least three phone calls from television producers in New York and Los Angeles, who say he would make a good reality show star. He says he is considering it.

Haha, yeah, sure.

His job was to plow the roads and that's what he was doing. Blame the assholes that ignored a snow emergency, leaving their vehicles on the road.

His anti-social behavior has earned him the attention of people that want to pay him money to be on a reality television show.

And they say gay marriage and marijuana are ruining this country.

yeah, town employees should only take slight pleasure in screwing the local citizens, when they film it and post it to youtube. otherwise they might get fired!

seriously, if you're a town employee and you make a video about how much you love messing with the people in the town, what do you expect?

There was a wonderful bit in that episode where Homer and his plough were about to go over the edge, but luckily he had an analogue radio and was able to alter the truck's centre of gravity by turning the radio dial back towards safety

The city should have used this as a PSA to get people to move their cars during snow emergencies. "Move your farking car or we'll plow that farker in".

It boggles the mind that some people in New England don't understand what happens to the snow in the road after a storm. It gets plowed to the side, possibly not at the most convenient time for you.

Except when you live in an urban/dense area, apparently, when the plows can't come because you treat the street like a personal fark-it parking lot, and are allotted 15 min. of biatching nightly for 2 weeks on the 11PM news.

No. It's more a question of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts being the entire pair of buttocks with Lowell playing the star role.

Yeah the driver is a dumbass but as someone who has lived in a snowy climate, I feel no sympathy for the car owners who got buried.

[csb]

One of my friends was living in the condos at the top of the mountain next to the resort.  And a big storm rolled through and he didn't move his car.  Which happened to be parked in the area where the plows put all the snow. It gets buried both by the plow and the storm.  It wasn't seen again for 2-3 months. At some point in the spring the plows cleared behind it and there was the rear end of a squished lil Isuzu Imark sticking out from under 10 foot+ mountain of snow.  Both front and rear windshields were busted, suspension blasted, and the tires were flat. Never ran again. Once it melted all he could do was get it towed to the junk yard.

I don't actually have it because I moved away for a good portion of my life, but I do agree that it sounds ridiculous at times.

I actually like it when the plow piles a lot on the bottom of my driveway.  It makes me feel good for purchasing a top-end snowblower.

Personally, I don't think he's in the wrong. shiat, where I live, your ass will get ticketed and towed post haste if you're parked on the street during a major snow storm.

/and yeah, when you've been up for 20+ hours straight, you don't tend to think clearly
//why they didn't get him off his route for rest earlier is the fault of the Lowell Road Department

I really can't find the outrage.  The only thing he did wrong was make himself identifiable when he posted it on youtube.
If I was a plow driver I'd probably laugh at least a little at all the cars I was being paid to bury.

The w goes with the first syllable, and the second syllable isn't emphasized at all. It's more like Low-l or Low-ul to locals, but mushed together so much that I suppose it might sound like Lole, if you're not used to hearing it. Or perhaps more like Lowl.

god people. the roads have to get plowed. someone has to do it. and if you park on the street, your car gets covered. don't want your plow guy to get his jollies off covering your car? park in a garage. don't have a garage? move to where there is less snow.

let the guy enjoy his job. its what he gets paid to do.

/well not anymore thanks to butthurt little snowflakes that complained.

Cash? Lotsa cash through bullet- proof glass. I let Mpls keep my car 20 yrs ago. Junk yards wanted me to pay them to take it off my hands. Cheapest way to junk a car. Still waiting for a storage bill of $2,512,000.

snow people problems .... him making a big deal out of burying a car when he didnt have to, twice, based on video from another site makes me less than sympathetic to his plight- he is just an ass.
And yes, I do live in SoCal, but had to deal with much deeper snow than this where i lived before.
