| ambassador_ahab beautifulbob: Not corpse water. Corpse tea. She steeped in a tank on a Los Angeles roof for several days. Corpse tea. The crazy thing is, numerous people interviewed said the water tasted "funny" or that the water "didn't look right," but kept drinking/bathing in it anyways. |

This is Los Angeles - it was probably an improvement over the usual water... / Live in LA, so I'm getting a kick... |

| vpb I'll bet you could make a fortune selling it at whole foods if you put it into a fancy bottle and made baseless health claims for it. |

Where is all the farkers who were barking at folks freaking out over all the hotel guest that must have been drinking and bathing in this water? They were so smarty pants about stating how stupid people were that those tanks were not used for drinking water they were only used for maintenance and lawn care (lol) on skid row! |

The crazy thing is, numerous people interviewed said the water tasted "funny" or that the water "didn't look right," but kept drinking/bathing in it anyways. The article covers diseases that can be spread, but there are a lot of other chemical processes that happen to a body. That's probably what leached into the water. So the effect of drinking corpse tea isn't all psychological. |

Well, they'd drink it and then an hour later they were thirsty again. |

All of them? I believe the correct answer is "all of them". / don't drink water with your scotch, fish fark in it. // or something like that, I'm lazy. |

| Snarcoleptic_Hoosier I use a single cup brewer for all my corpse tea. It's a little pricey, but the convenience is totally worth it. |

Didn't they already do tests on the cistern water and determine it had been microbiologically safe for human consumption during the time people were drinking it? /DRTFA |

Large surface water impoundments used for potable water have all kinds of nasty things in them at any given time, and you would not want to drink the untreated water. Granted, there is a dillution factor not present in a rooftop tank, but the yuck factor is there if you just want to think about it. |
||
| studebaker hoch offmymeds Belgian undertakers have drawn up plans to dissolve the corpses of the dead in caustic solutions and flush them into the sewage system. That's a good method of corpse disposal. No need to move the body out of your house, and you can get everything you need at Home Depot. |

According to the article, in the last paragraph, the scientific expert basically said, "You're highly unlikely to contract any kind of disease from the water." So, there's nothing to worry about. Continue on. |

I don't care if it's perfectly safe. You're still drinking corpse slurry |
