but at least you can get a 2 liter diet Coke. |
| Shostie Okay. That infographic with Mayor Bloomberg/Poppins is cute. |

Isn't this the city with drug delivery services? I bet they'd be willing to throw in a bottle of coke along with an ounce of weed. |
| me texan Wow, he's really trying to egg on the Monicans. |
| JasonOfOrillia But I can still eat the whole pizza myself? |
| The_Gallant_Gallstone
The only rational conclusion I can come up with is that Bloomberg has his hands in the cigarette/soda smuggling circles that bring that stuff out to NYC and is getting a piece. |

WTF is this guy's mental malfunction? Dude needs to go off and run his evil empire and quit micro managing the serfs that aren't his actual household servants. |
| Mrbogey New York deserves him. |
| johnryan51 He paid $118.00 per vote. It's his city now. |

Simple solution raise the price of the pizza/alcohol whatever and make the soft dink "complimentary." |
| ilikeracecars
Gee, I won't be able to pay $3.00 plus tip for a 2 liter I can get elsewhere for half that? Darn |
| computerguyUT
Hahahahhahah....New York now officially deserves their own tag. they're as retarded as Florida any more.. |
| whizbangthedirtfarmer Meh, I can't imagine that folks would want to pay out the arse for a 2-liter with soda anyway. Here, they charge something like 3 or 4 bucks; I can walk down the street and get a 2-liter at the grocery store for 1.25. |

Politicians know what is best for us. |

JasonOfOrillia: But I can still eat the whole pizza myself? Until Lord Bloomberg decides to regulate that too. Maybe regulate pizza sizes, maybe ban people from eating more than a certain amount of food per meal. |
| HarleyMarlboro
I understand why he's banning Big Gulps, since those are intended to be one serving. (I don't agree, but I understand) I don't understand this. A 2 liter has a little over 8 servings. What's next, no one can buy more than one 16oz bottle at a time, because they might drink more than one? |
| Brick-House
What gives this blooming idiot the authority to do this? |
| bunner
Ebenator: Politicians know what is best for us. Not only are we a nation of greedheads and pussies, we cant wait to shout about what greedhead we should elect to tell us what particular type of pussies we are now obliged to be. |

I am outraged. Brave men fought and died for my right to drink sugar water by the gallon. |

| ClavellBCMI Brick-House: What gives this blooming idiot the authority to do this? A *very* liberal interpetation of the city health code. |
| HideAndGoFarkYourself How is this not restricting free trade? I fail to see how these things he's doing aren't being challenged in court. I feel like a class action lawsuit against him/them would result in him biatch slapped. |

Progressives gonna progress. |
| redsquid But you can still buy beer by the pitcher and whole bottles of vodka?!? Great priorities there, mayor. Beat your wife, run over a kid, or wrap your car around a phone pole- just don't get fat. I'm going to NY in September and I'm taking several 44oz Big Gulp cups with me. I don't even drink soda but I'll fill one with tea and carry it everywhere. fark that shiat. |

L.D. Ablo: Yet another reason why Los Angeles is better. See, that's the con. "Well, you know [your city/county/state/country here] is like, you know, WAY better than that." Ah, ha ha. Until they do the same thing there, too. As long as we're all squinting out the windows at our neighbors and laughing at the sh*t THEY put up with, we win. |

This is what you big city liberals want for your disgusting cesspool that is NYC, you're getting exactly what you want. |
| cig-mkr
will they still sell the two liter in grocery stores? |
| zvoidx
FTA: Typically, a pizzeria charges $3 for a 2-liter bottle of Coke. But under the ban, customers would have to buy six 12-ounce cans at a total cost of $7.50 to get an equivalent amount of soda. You would think the ban, which is supposed to be about health concerns, would not permit the equivalent of a 2 liter soda. /looks like it will help the soda companies and people will still get fatter |
| Mrbogey Silverstaff: Until Lord Bloomberg decides to regulate that too. Maybe regulate pizza sizes, maybe ban people from eating more than a certain amount of food per meal. Well for a long time there's been a loophole. People go to food markets and they get whatever they want with no supervision of whether or not it's healthy. Sure, we can put on the side of a 20oz bottle of soda that it's 2 servings and hope the person divides it up between two meals but there's no real way to enforce it. So what we have to do is close the bulk food loophole and make every item sold one serving. That way a person will have to consciously decide to eat twice as much food as they should. Every year fatties cost America billions in healthcare costs. Since this is paid for by the taxpayers it's only fair that taxpayers work to end their subsidization of these free riding fatties. /parody |

people voted for this guy??? |

| Triumph There are families living in NY in houses damaged by hurricane Sandy who still can't cook because the gas is shut off. Glad to see the mayor is looking out for their well-being. |
