  • If I were a top notch draft candidate, I'd do everything in the combine *except* the Wonderlic.  I'd refuse that farker.  "There is no correlation between that score and NFL success.  If you are actually paying attention to it, i don't want to play for you anyway."
  • When writing an exam so easy that even Gronk could somehow pass it, at least correct the grammatical/spelling mistakes. The again, the mistakes show why Gronk could pass it with minimal outside assistance.

If you were a top notch draft candidate, you wouldn't be smart enough to know that.
  • That test and your blog are both really dumb.

Andrew Luck, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Alex Smith, Christian McCaffrey, Justin Hebert...

    All Academic All-Americans.

Football players are generally smart, and if they are in the Pac-12, actually have to go to school.  Stanford doesn't care how much of a jock you are.  Neither does Washington.  If you cant make grades, you can't play.

We make fun of Gronkowski for his overall demeanor and how much fun he looks like he's having, but remember, he never spent a dime of his salary while he was playing. That makes him easily one of the smartest football players that ever lived.

I'm betting that had more to do with his parents than him. I could be wrong, I used to be a lot smarter.

I bet that's his parents. He comes off as a bag of rocks.
  • There's a town near me that uses Wonderlic for entry-level firefighter testing. It's a weird department in a lot of other ways, so it didn't really surprise me when I heard about it.

I'm guessing that people who score too high are assumed to be too smart to run into a burning building, and thus they are turned down for the job.
  • One of the players with the highest Wonderlic score was Ryan Fitzpatrick.
