abhorrent1:I have a feeling that the kind of people that would be triggered by this probably don't pay attention to the NBA for obvious reasons.
The NBA stopped pretending to cater to fragile white folks at least a decade ago. Stern played that final hand in the late 90s to maybe mid 2000s of enforcing a dress code and such when the early returns to Allen Iverson's rise to stardom and the 'Malice in the Palace' elicited some uncomfortable commentary from a particularly stuffy demographic, but even well before Adam Silver stepped in, the NBA had already long transitioned and positioned itself as, in many respects, the league which is fully invested in keeping the attention of Millennials.
Donnie just wants to own some black people. Why won't anyone let him own some black people? Possibly this is why he only cares about war-losing traitors?
This does relate because of Trump's history of attempting to own black people through the NFL. Everything's a power move by this creep.
British pro tennis players took a knee in support of BLM before exhibition matches last week. a slew of US fans felt compelled to announce to social media that they weren't watching anymore. because BRITISH players were kneeling. and not during an anthem. which wouldn't have been the TSSB anyway. it's almost as if "it's disrespectful to the US flag and anthem" is a disingenuous smokescreen.

That dress code was a reaction of the racist duality of the NBA - young black players and fans butting heads with older white management and more "traditional" fans. Upper-middle-class and upper-class white people bought tickets, but the younger generation bought the merch.
They are a private business. They can do what they want. People can choose to watch and eventually go back to the games or not. That is their prerogative.

Do these lives matter?
Looking at the story, it seems like they're attempting to find and prosecute the murderer, so yes.
Hopefully that answered your stupid question.
Good. Then why all the fuss about George Floyd? I'm pretty sure they caught that guy too?
think you missed the point. everyone who shrugged as police were acquitted for shooting unarmed black people in the back since you were born are part of the problem. this was the straw that broke the camel's back. please do not put off years of racial crap on this on guy, a better question would be 'how many police officers in my neighborhood have a college degree?' can we make the requirement to kill someone slightly above someone who asks if you want fries with that?

The person you're replying knows better. They're just feigning ignorance of the distinctions to justify some sort of whstaboutism that implicitly seeks to diminish the original premise of opposition to police violence and they're dissimulating because they're too chickenshiat to say it outright.

And Black culture took that dress code and bent it to their will; Black fashion changed because of that rule.

Because nothing was going to be done about it. And it turns out when the government murders its citizens, citizens protest the government.
If you can't understand that, your life probably shouldn't matter.
