  • For that lot the Slavery Abolition Act of 1833 was too woke
  • Civilization isn't really their thing.
  • The Progressive movement is the next stage in global government.  Get used to it.  Resistance is futile.
  • The common sense group?
Ha ha ha haha haha ha! ^_^
    No. >.<
  • Of course these stodgy old men say that: I've seen documentaries about how much wives love BBC.

So how is that going to happen?  Do you think the ruling class is going to allow progressives to "nice" their way to power?

And I am not being snarky. I want a more humane, thoughtful, inclusive world. I just don't think the people on the other side of the spectrum will quietly relinquish their grip.
  • This is nothing new. Tories have always hated the BBC.

The rest of the article is basically the same old "Conservatives hate it when you point out their past" bullsh*t that's also happening in America.

FTFY. The BBC actually speaks truth to power, which is why the Johnson government had a "boycott" against Radio 4 for most of the first year in office. I really liked the aggressive questioning from them, especially when a politician would start equivocating or giving a usual half-answer. America needs news outlets like that.

Tories are far too leftist for the American right wing.  Americans are still wondering why all those Brits were so mean to a true conservative visionary like Sir Oswald all those years ago.
  • Peaceful legal demographic changes in the electorate.  Old conservatives are naturally passing away.   Our youth are highly educated progressives.  Our welcome influx of needed immigrants  (the conservatives stopped reproducing) have a more congenial view of the need for social democracy.
  • The BBC been sucking their taint for farking years but apparently they haven't been using enough tongue so it's a betrayal. God Reactionary fark sticks are the same everywhere.

BoJo is still a human Muppet though.

    Always have been.
  • Seeing this banner on the BBC History magazine the other day made me question whether the broadcaster is actually maybe not overrun by super lefty progressives.

Yep, not a week goes by where #DefundtheCBC doesn't trend in Canada, almost always in the sidebar links of the article they are screeching about is another article critical of the Liberal government or the MCGA's favorite nemesis Justin.

I think BoJo is different than previous conservatives running the UK though. Much more like his Republican counterparts (probably because the Prime Minister was actually born American in Manhattan to British parents) by wanting to dismantle the NHS and just ignores the COVID-19 pandemic until he got sick from it!
