  • How about we stop writing articles about that loser so we can find out?
  • AN infinitely better country by default, ya muppet.

Who will we be without Donald Trump.
  • "Democracy dies in darkness, but paywalls will save us" - just saying
  • On January 21st, I can wake up in the morning without thinking about the next episode of this 4-year horror show
  • We haven't seen the damage Trump has done to the U.S.
Politicians had a certain amount of respect, trust and admiration.
The Presidency and government have lost all respect as he has shown it to be a great way to scam the people.
In the short term the military hasn't seen much change because the people joining just want to kill other people. In the future ,respect in fighting for the country will be linked to respect for the country and that will lead to a lack of interest in fighting for our leaders.
  • I would have stopped obsessing about him on Nov 4 but people keep writing stupid articles about him and republicans are kowtowing to his Stupid Coup.

    Wrong paper.
    Also incognito mode.

Until you read the headlines on every major news site which have banner headlines about Trump declaring for 2024 and what the pundits think is next for him.

Biden's inauguration will be on page 15.  Low energy, boring.
  • ssa5: "Democracy dies in darkness, but paywalls will save us" - just saying

So pay for it u bum
  • We collectively still have Trump supporters alive in our country.  That won't change.  It won't ever change.
Biden and his SOS will restore our image internationally. What your states do is what they do.  You still have Republican Senators and Congressmen who want you either dead or poor, hateful, and to believe them.

/and I benefit from that.  Sorry.
  • How were we doing before Trump?  Not particularly well if you ask me.

Getting back to "normal" is only the first step.  There's a lot of stuff that needs fixing that has nothing to do with Trump.
  • Forget him?? No. He needs to be remembered in detail and taught as a warning sign.

Otherwise he will become normalized and mythologized over time.

/its the reason he needs to by prosecuted in NY state.
  • For most normal, sane, non racist Americans, the same people we usually are.  For the racist, stupid, easily manipulated, followers of his cult it's likely they will be depressed, mentally unstable, still racist, still stupid and still easily manipulated by someone or something else.

    Light isn't free, you socialist.
  • There's fewer Americans alive because of him.

Never forget that... or his vast lifetime of crime in addition to that.
  • I guess I missed the part where Trump conceded and is facilitating an orderly transition rather than blocking everything while setting fires before he's forced out the door.
  • Tyranny and fascism begin at home, behind closed doors.

It's presented as "the way things are" and not a political stand point.

Domestic abuse: spousal abuse and child abuse, nourish tyranny and fascism.

Ah, but you see, those are just fine. Four americans dead under a Dem admin in an embassy attack where nothing could have been done to save them, that's a tragedy, but 270K americans dead due to an R admins' incompetence? Completely understandable and nothing to worry about. Also it wasn't brown people from sandy countries that did it, so also nothing to worry about.

/this is what the last 20 years have taught me
  • I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that a lot of people are addicted to this misery and the hate endorphins it produces.

Things move so fast day to day.  I can remember when the politics tab only had a handful of things, now it scrolls like a thread.

I don't think this era is going away anytime soon, but I will be glad when they can pull the toddler out of the store so he can't keep physically pulling down shelves and displays.

FIFY May as well be accurate at this point.

Not merely incompetence.  Donnie and Jared CHOSE this.  They wanted us to die.

Hear, hear. The Trump administration has made everything worse for the majority of our citizens, but make no mistake, every one of our major systems needs major overhaul. Law enforcement, Justice, prisons, education, agriculture, energy, military, health insurance, housing, media and press, immigration, etc. The list is almost endless, and I feel that almost everything needed a tuneup before Pinocchio, but since then everything has thrown a rod.
