  • Moore, who currently has For All Mankind on Apple TV+, will start with a show called The Society Of Explorers And Adventurers, positing a different reality where the different lands and characters of the Disney parks (such as Frontierland or the Jungle Cruise) exist for real.

Yeah, Once Upon a Time was pretty good. Not sure it needs to be remade, but if you put Meghan Ory back in it I'm in.

  • Every franchise on D+ has multiple making-of shows. Only makes sense for there to be a making-of making-of show.
  • I'm sort of done with Disney now that they've canceled Gina Carano. That, and Wrinkle in Time. What the hell were they thinking?
  • Destructor: I'm sort of done with Disney now that they've canceled Gina Carano.

Gina Carano deserved to be cancelled for her shiatty acting skills (flashback to that time she had to have all her dialogue in some movie ADRed by Laura San Giacomo) long before we found out she's a fascist-loving goober. I mean, if your movie calls for an athletic, marginally attractive woman who can stare intently at a point just off screen, she's your girl. But the moment anything like portraying realistic human emotion or delivering dialogue in a convincing, non-monotone manner is called for, you have to ask yourself if it isn't better to just get a different actor, or if your budget can afford all the CGI and post-production work necessary that's going to make her performance passable.

She's basically apolitical (first time voter) and had a problem with non-binary pronouns that she seems to be on a trajectory to overcome. Who among us haven't? She's embraced the trans community. What more do you want from her? (I know... She must check all the boxes. or else)

Since when does a company get to kick you to the curb over something so minor as that? Oh, I'm sure if you're part of Big Pronoun, it's a massive deal. But is this how it is now? Is this "tolerance"?

    Well, okay, I guess.

As far as her acting talent. I thought she did fine. She was great in Deadpool. And she was great in Mandelorian. But, whatever. Just be careful to have an opinion when you're in the public limelight.

Also, it would help, if they actually produced something that was good.

She got fired for saying she was treated like a Jew in Nazi Germany.

Yes. What would Walt Disney say?
  • Campea (who originally was a Carano apologist) gives a pretty thorough breakdown of her misconduct that led to Disney not renewing her contract.

  • Uhh... article makes no sense to me. What are they trying to do? Make a bunch of TV shows about their random theme park rides? Oh wait, that makes perfect sense. ><
  • So, wonder what the new "Old West" or Goldminer themed show will be like, since they're looking to renovate Thunder Mountain...

Yeah, a movie or TV show based on a theme park ride could never work

Well, not just that. More like that was the last straw

Pat Sajak (just as an example) is probably more right wing than she is, but he at least learned to keep his social media trap shut about it. One learned, one didn't. One is still employed, one has to go crawling to Ben Shapiro to get a job

Percentage-wise, they fail a lot more often than they succeed. Just look at the movies so far...

Huge win: Pirates of the Caribbean franchise

Mega fail: Haunted Mansion, Country Bears Jamboree, Tomorrowland, Mission to Mars

Yet to be determined: Jungle Cruise

It's a gamble, and generally a losing one. But that single jackpot paid off so well, they can't resist throwing more chips on the table.

You can attempt to custom confirm privacy settings, but all of the buttons are locked on ON, and can not be changed.

    Bugger them.
