There have been American people who have made much greater sacrifices than skipping going out to eat and a movie for the safety of society.

Absolutely. I want government to tell the truth.
You can still transmit COVID even if you've been vaccinated. We need to wear masks and stay away from mass gatherings like movie theaters and concerts until we have about 70-80% of people vaccinated. This should give us the herd immunity we need to go back to normal.
Since the idiots claiming crap like "the vaccine alters your DNA" are getting less and less airtime, we can possibly see this by late summer. The only way out of this mess is to listen to the science.
Of course, the best way of not getting into this mess in the first place was to listen to the science, but our elected leaders weren't all about that back then.

Back then, huh? You mean when Fauci said on March 8, 2020 in a 60 Minutes interview that "people shouldn't be walking around wearing masks. You could get shcmootz on it and that's probably worse." This is probably the very last time Fauci told the truth about anything. It should be noted that at the time of this interview, he had been a medial doctor for decades.
