I'm not sure that is the best way to define success in a professional sport. They haven't won a championship since his 2nd or 3rd year coaching.

I like the "Well, he hasn't won a championship in awhile" argument for getting rid of him. Who would you rather have, Doug Peterson or Mike Tomlin? No one seems to be calling for Sean Payton's head in NO (that I'm aware of)

And I'll circle back around to my original point that there are a lot of NFL teams that would love to have had the results Tomlin put up with the Steelers in the last decade plus, even without your ridiculous expectations.
145-78-1 regular season record. Never had losing record.
Made playoffs 9 out of 14 years.
8-8 playoff record, including SB win and AFC championship.

Brady and Belichick went 10 years between Super Bowls at one point, and were only saved by the worst playcall in Super Bowl history. Saying "the guy who wins a lot hasn't won a Super Bowl in a long time" is literally the worst argument for getting rid of him

And apparently you lack reading comprehension skills, because my point all along has been that there are a lot of NFL teams that would be happy with the results Tomlin has put up with the Steelers. You apparently view those results as "insanity" and failure, prompting my statement that you need to adjust your expectations a smidge.
I barely consider myself a Detroit Lions fan, and I'd go streaking down Woodward Ave bare assed nekkid if the Lions put up the Steelers results over the last 14 seasons.
