Ragin' Asian: I'm bingeing the Marvel movies and an up to Infinity War. Spidey exclaims, when Stark sends him the new suit, "It smells like a new car in here!" Peter Parker's a poor kid from Queens. How does he know what a new car smells like?

Queens isn't a ghetto. There are sketchy areas, and warehouse/docks/industry zones but its just kinda "regular city residential area" for the most part. I'm guessing Aunt May's apartment is 3k a month or thereabouts, based on what we've seen of it (2 BR at least). The highschool he goes to is in Manhattan, with lots of rich kids from all over the city. He'll have smelled several new cars in his day i'm quite sure.
/oh yea like he said above, Flash Thompson etc etc
//oh yea and Uber Lyft etc are all over NYC. He'll have used those certainly.

And to be fair, he's from Forest Hills, which depending on where you are, ranges from middle class apartments to 1900s era mansions. He's definitely got a rich friend in Forest Hills Gardens.

"The King of Queens" is from 1998 and "Spider-Man" is from 2002 so I imagine the scenery is appropriate?

This is not a jab whatsoever. You didn't grow up in Queens in the 80s. One of the reasons I loved Spidey comics is because Peter Parker was a poor nerdy kid from Queens. Now Miles Morales speaks to my inner kid.
