    How meta.

The recommended related article at the bottom of this one is about how Nintendo needs to find a less dmca hammer way to deal with fan games. It's opening line is directly a response to comments like yours.
  • I wish I knew how to emulate n64 games on my PC.  I tried downloading retroarch and i coudn't ever get it to work, even after trying to follow a couple of tutorials.

Retroarch can be a pain in the ass to set up.

    Thanks!  I'll check it out!
  • Another feature that the original misses is that when you exit a level, you should hop out of the painting instead of teleporting back to the middle of Peach's Castle.

PJ64 is awful garbage. Take the five minutes to figure out how to get Retroarch/ParaLLEl working. It is genuinely not that difficult. As for this, it's a port, running natively on PC. There's apparently a near-finished project to do the same for OoT/MQ and MM as well.

Well, I don't think they should sue this stuff into oblivion, it's just that they will no matter what, due to copyright protection defense.

And the lawyers do read Kotaku.  It seems that if Kotaku and it's ilk didn't showcase all these projects, they might not be shut down so readily.
  • Jesus christ is nobody going to make the farking game look better? PC gamers' brains are broken

//some master race moron is going to respond to this with "just install your own texture pack"
  • I think I've played this game on as many platforms as Final Fantasy VI.
  • I tried it. Not much luck so far. It takes a long time to load, runs far too quickly and doesn't accept any input.

Where would one find a legitimate source for that?  I don't always trust the results I get when typing these sorts of things into a search engine.
