  • Anyone who would call Legos pointless has never stepped on one
  • Pointless? Those are automation skills that build modern manufacturing equipment. Sure, it will take away jobs no one wants, but hell at least things get done. And not to mention problem solving skills are a bonus.
  • That, is a very deep and very fun rabbit hole. Did not have time to look at all of the vids... Freaking awesome!
  • Goldberg gets speared through the foot.
  • What something that's pointless but actually has a point might look like:

  • I *think* I saw that.  I'm pretty sure there was no mention of static friction and stiction.  Hint: the last gears won't move smoothly, but will jerk from whenever the force builds up enough to overcome the static friction and then stop until it reaches it again (thanks to the gear reduction, there should always be enough force to overcome this and jerk the wheels around, except that the battery [and life on Earth]  will run out before it gets to the end...).
  • The 'Writer' was deep Dot Matrix.
  • I stumbled upon the tilted ring video a little while back. I have zero engineering or design capabilities. But I know a god's work when I see it.
